SEGA announced Thursday that Blaze the Cat, Silver the Hedgehog, and Vector the Crocodile have been added to the roster in Team Sonic Racing under the name “Team Vector.”

Sonic and Shadow may have the coolest cars, but Team Vector’s cars are on fleek. Silver’s ride takes after the aesthetic of Tron: Legacy, Vector’s car has teeth that can chew anyone he attempts to tailgate, and Blaze’s car has enough fire and horsepower to outrun even Sonic.

If you think Team Vector isn’t hot enough to break the ice, Tails’ Channel’s screenshots of Ice Mountain will tell you otherwise.

Team Sonic Racing will be zooming to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch Winter 2018.

Actor Ben Schwartz has signed on to lend his voice to the Blue Blur in the upcoming Sonic movie, according to Variety.  Don’t worry if you think Schwartz’s performance of Sonic won’t be on par with Smith’s. He’s currently voicing Leonardo in Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dewey in the DuckTales reboot–two cartoon characters with an affinity for the color blue. Schwartz is a true blue dude, so Sonic is just another blue character on his voice-acting bucket list.

I’ve grown accustomed to Smith’s portrayal of Sonic in the last eight years, so the news of Schwartz being cast as Sonic shocked me. But based on his performance in DuckTales, I’m confident that he’ll make Sonic sound as youthful as Jaleel White and Ryan Drummond did.

Sonic the Hedgehog speeds into theaters November 15, 2019.

Scheduled for release in spring 2019, Total War: Three Kingdoms will give attendees an exclusive first look at the campaign map of ancient China and a night-time ambush battle. Three Kingdoms will also be the first in the Total War series to feature two different gameplay modes: Classic and Romance.

As for Team Sonic Racing, fans will get the opportunity to play through a chilly new race track, Ice Mountain, and witness the reveal of two new playable teams. Will the Babylon Rogues be among them, or will a new gang of antiheroes take their place?

Make sure you wear your favorite football jersey for a special debut of Football Manager 2019! It won’t be playable, but there will be a special activation event that will allow football fans to participate in the Football Manager-themed photo booth, receive a Football Manager notebook, and put them in the firing line for questioning from renowned ESPN journalist Raphael Honigstein.

IDW Publishing and SEGA announced at San Diego Comic-Con Thursday that they will be publishing a one-shot prequel issue of Team Sonic Racing this October. They didn’t release a lot of details about the plot, other than Sonic and the gang will be racing against time to stop an “old foe” from obtaining a powerful new technology necessary to threaten the planet they’re racing on.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles writer Caleb Goellner will be penning the story, whilst Adam Bryce Thomas will be illustrating this action-packed race.

In other Sonic comic news, Whisper the Wolf will be howling and clawing at Eggman with Sonic and Co. in issue #8 of IDW Sonic. Designed by none other than Evan Stanley, Whisper carries a variable Wispon that can change powers. She’s been described as a “guardian angel.”

SEGA began crowdfunding for the Sonic Toaster on its online store since E3 last month, asking for 1000 pre-orders before July 12. Now, three days before the deadline, pre-orders have surpassed the threshold, selling 1087–and counting–of the limited edition toaster. This fast-blazing appliance costs $35 and will ship out to your kitchen October 1.

Please note that Sonic’s face will be burnt on one side of the bread, whilst the other side will be brown and crispy just like any regular toast.

Deadline has reported that Jim Carrey is negotiating with Paramount Pictures to star in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie as Dr. Eggman. Carrey, 56, is best known for his feisty performances in The Mask and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, which would make for an ultra-spicy portrayal of the nefarious scientist as he plots yet another attempt at world domination. He’ll be co-starring with Westworld‘s James Marsden, who has been cast as a cop who will help Sonic—now written as a juvenile delinquent in the script—foil Eggman’s plans. Ride Along‘s Tika Sumpter is also confirmed to star in the film.

Sonic the Hedgehog opens in theaters November 15, 2019.

Developed by Sumo Digital, the team behind the Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing series, Team Sonic Racing will allow players to play either solo or within teams of up to 12 members online (4 offline) in various single and multiplayer modes, including Grand Prix, Time Travel and Team Adventure. Teammates will also work together with new features, such as Item Transfer, Skim Boost and Slingshot.

Players can even pimp their rides (rapper slang for “vehicle customization,” in case you didn’t watch MTV’s Pimp My Ride) to suit their racing style. Unfortunately, a multi-platform game does not a cross-platformer make, as PS4 gamers cannot race their Switch-playing friends, and Xbox One players cannot challenge PC gamers and vice versa in multiplayer races.

Also, Crush 40, every Sonic fan’s favorite rock band, is returning to spice up the race with new music.

Everyone’s gotten heckled by umpteen notifications about privacy policy updates due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a new privacy law that went into effect in Europe Friday, giving citizens of the EU control over how their personal data should be used by the services they sign up for, such as Facebook, Google and Amazon, and fining companies four percent of their global turnover for misusing their consumers’ data.

Sonic’s official Twitter account, pulling our legs as usual, posted a four-panel scene from the first episode of Sonic Mania Adventures in which Sonic reads the fine print of the new European data law on Eggman’s communicator, which states, “We’ve updated our Privacy Policy. As part of our ongoing efforts to prepare for our new game announcement, as well as releasing Sonic Mania Adventures Part 3 this month..,”

Note the keyword “new.” Sonic Team has already teased the Fast and Furious-esque Sonic racing game at SXSW, so what surprises are they going to unbox at E3? Are they going to give more details about the new Sonic racing game–like its title? Or is there another new Sonic game in the works?

The second of five short episodes written and directed by Tyson Heese sees Sonic meeting up with Tails after repairing the Tornado. They go to investigate a mysterious tremor by the beach, caused by none other than Dr. Eggman. Sonic underestimates the power of his portly nemesis’s new mech, and after suffering an embarrassing defeat at his hands, he learns that it takes two to tango against evil.

They didn’t buy it off of eBay, Amazon, or from a consignment shop somewhere in South Florida. (Estoy mirando a ti, Valsan.) They bought Sonic 2, new, mint condition, at a store that’s been carrying the prized sequel since it came out one sweet November day in 1992.

Cue detective music.

This odd transaction was discovered Saturday by Mat Piscatella, a video game industry analyst at The NPD Group, a market research company in Port Washington, NY. Piscatella explained that The NPD Group receives point-of-sale (POS) data from different retailers, such as Best Buy and GameStop for example, and he was surprised to see Sonic 2 show up on the sales charts.

The first three questions sound plausible. Since Piscatella’s employer collects sales data from notable retailers, the only theory about the transaction that stands out is that someone found it in a Toy R Us. Everyone’s favorite toy store since 1947 is closing all U.S. stores and liquidation is ongoing. When the signs scream “EVERYTHING MUST GO!” they mean everything, including items that are not as hot as they were when they hit the market many Christmases ago.

As of now, Piscatella has found no relevant information regarding the purchase of the minty Sonic 2 cartridge. Consider this a case gone cold.
